Solution

The differences between near point and far point of the eye are:

Near pointFar point
  • The shortest distance till which human eye can see things clearly is called near point.
  • The furthest distance till which human eye can see things clearly is called far point.
  • For normal adult human eye, near point is 25 cm, for children it is 15 cm.
  • The far point for normal eye is infinity.
  • It is affected by hypermetropia (moves further away).
  • It is affected by myopia (moves closer).
