The major function of White Blood Cells is to protect the human body from foreign bodies. It produces antibodies that function to kill and/or neutralize the germs, viruses, and bacteria that enter our body and destroy the damaged cells by phagocytosis.

Hence, white blood cells are like the soldiers of the body that defend it against the invasion of foreign bodies.
