Pascal's law was formulated by the French scientist Blaise Pascal in 1647 AD.

Pascal's law states that “When pressure is applied on an enclosed liquid, it is transmitted equally in all the directions.” The pressure acts at right angles to the surface of the vessel exposed to the liquid.
